On 3 October 2025, HOPE worldwide Singapore, together with Motorola Solutions, brought 60 seniors from our Live Strong Active-Ageing Programme on a fun-filled and heartwarming trip to Bird Paradise.
What made this day extra special — besides the colourful flocks and joyful laughter — was that it fell on Children’s Day. In many ways, this was a celebration of the childlikeness, youthfulness, and joy that continues to shine brightly in our seniors’ lives.
A total of 35 volunteers from Motorola Solutions joined hands with our team to make this outing truly memorable. The visit also marked a meaningful milestone — Motorola Solutions’ 50th Anniversary in Singapore, celebrated through giving back to the community.
Throughout the day, the seniors and volunteers bonded over a “Most Creative Group Photo” contest, forming six vibrant teams: Blue, Light Blue, Red, Orange, Yellow, and Black. Creativity was everywhere — from playful poses to spontaneous laughter — but in the end, it was the Orange Team that took home the prize for their spirited teamwork and cheerful energy!
Each senior from the winning group received a special souvenir from Motorola Solutions, while everyone celebrated with a delightful bento lunch thoughtfully prepared by the volunteers, complete with fruits and drinks. Before heading home, the seniors also received a gift pack — a simple yet thoughtful gesture that brought smiles all around.
More than just a fun day out, this outing was a celebration of resilience and vitality. Many seniors, who once struggled with mobility and confidence, now walk with renewed strength — a testament to the impact of the Live Strong Programme, which empowers them to stay physically active, mentally engaged, and socially connected.
