HOPE worldwide Singapore, together with 16 dedicated volunteers from Manulife, spent a heartwarming morning bringing 10 wheelchair-bound seniors from our adopted nursing home, Bright Hill Evergreen Home (BHEH), on a memorable outing to the Oceanarium.

For many of these seniors, mobility challenges mean limited opportunities to step outside. This outing was more than a trip — it was a chance to feel connected, seen, and valued.

From the moment Manulife volunteers arrived at BHEH, greeting the seniors and escorting them onto the bus, meaningful friendships began forming. As the seniors explored the magical marine world, their eyes lit up with childlike wonder. The joy, curiosity, and laughter were priceless.

The outing concluded with a hearty meal at FEAST at WEAVE, where seniors and volunteers continued bonding over conversations and shared experiences.

A huge thank you to Manulife for sponsoring and coordinating this CSR activity. Your compassion has created lasting memories and brought dignity and joy to seniors who are often isolated.
As part of our Silvers Pillar, HOPE worldwide Singapore continues to bring comfort, connection, and meaning to immobile seniors through our “Joyful Journey” outings.
