HOPE Programmes with Central Christian Church

HOPE worldwide (Singapore) has had many years of partnership with the Central Christian Church and has become its adopted charity. Besides donating regularly to HOPE worldwide (Singapore) and HOPE worldwide (Indonesia) in cash and in kind, the Central Christian Church has also been a great source of support to HOPE worldwide (Singapore) in providing a dedicated pool of volunteers. Below are brief descriptions of the programmes being done in partnership with the Central Christian Church volunteers.

Singapore Cheshire Home in Serangoon
A residential Home with a capacity for 67 residents who are physically disabled, they receive nursing care, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, training in daily living skills, handicraft, computer practices and recreational activities. Our activities range from indoor karaoke sessions to outdoor picnics and outings during festive periods, on the last Saturday of every month. <more details>

Institute of Mental Health Wards in Buangkok Green
One Sunday a month, our volunteers organise social and recreational activities like song sessions, dancing lessons, and games like telematches for the residents in the IMH Ward 53. <more details>

Seniors Programme in Toa Payoh
On every 2nd Saturday of the month, volunteers provide companionship to the elder residents of Blk 170 in Toa Payoh. These activities provide joy and laughter to the residents. These include interactive games, karaoke song sessions, performances and also house cleaning. <more details>

Nurture Programme (a Central Community Development Council initiative)
