Movie TherapyTM Workshops can also be conducted for companies or organizations. Movie TherapyTM with our qualified counsellors is available for individuals, couples or families. Currently, HOPE ww S is developing programmes in partnership with Health Promotion Board for the following departments: Smoking Control for Youth and Adults, Adult Mental Health, and Disease Control for Youth.

Our annual Global Outreach Day, previously held in conjunction with HOPE worldwide's global network of organisations, has expanded to include regular ongoing Community Volunteerism Outreach. Our Community Volunteerism Outreach strives to inspire ongoing volunteer participation (monthly /bi-monthly, local /overseas) to help meet the physical and emotional needs of disadvantaged children and adults, the elderly, and the physically and mentally infirmed. HOPE for Seniors

An annual collaboration between the State Street Bank and Trust Company and HOPE worldwide (Singapore), this programme seeks to help the elderly by providing them with a better living environment. In June 2006, over 800 volunteers helped paint and clean 50 units of 1, 2 and 3-Room flats and hosted entertainment and lunch/high-tea for 500 elderly residents.

Counselling

HOPE worldwide (Singapore) provides counselling services, secular in nature. Our counsellors are experienced and qualified, and can provide you with enrichment and counselling services in the following areas: (1) Marriage, (2) Parenting, (3) Youth and Teens.

Family Life Education

HOPE worldwide Singapore, with support from MCYS, the People’s Association and Community Clubs, individual schools and companies, is able to actively provide Family Life Education to parents, students, company employees, and community residents. Our Family Life Education programmes provide effective and practical tools for relationships, marriage, parenting, work life balance, inter-generational bonding, and other topics related to family life.

Skill Empowerment

The HOPE-AIN Skill Training Fund, a combined effort of HOPE worldwide Singapore and AIN Society, an Islamic-faith based VWO, was launched in April 2006 in order to help needy families and out-of-school youths via business seed loans, educational bursaries/fund, and emergency funds. Since then, over 7 students and 19 families have been helped. In addition, National University of Singapore (NUS) student volunteers from NVAC have been teaching an 8-10 week semester of basic computer skills training for youths at risk and active seniors.
