On June 30th, 2007, in our third annual HOPE for Seniors Day, some 130 volunteers from State Street Bank, Central Christian Church, HOPE worldwide (Singapore) and BNI gathered at the Kaki Bukit CC, Blk 670 Bedok North St 3, from 8:30am – 3pm to volunteer their time, energy, and hearts to make a difference!


It was a pleasure to have Dr Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, MP from Marine Parade GRC (Kaki Bukit) kick off the event by welcoming the seniors to our HOPE for Seniors Day 2007.
We were also honoured to have Ms Wang Sheau Yien, State Street Bank Board Member and Ms Catherine Goon, State Street Bank, Investor Services grace our event.


At 9am, teams of volunteers armed themselves with mops, pails, lots of cleaning detergents and rags to clean 7 units of various-sized flats for the seniors at Blks 514, 541, and 544.


At the same time, 90 seniors, members of the public, and volunteer benefited from the free health screening provided by NKF.


There was an abundance of activities for all: with programmes for the healthy and aging such as line dancing, charade, and karaoke and also programmes for the wheelchair bound like music therapy, pass the parcel and bingo.


The seniors thoroughly enjoyed the scrumptious food, the fun & interactive games and the generous prizes donated by State Street Bank and Southeast CDC. Everyone left the Kaki Bukit CC a winner… including the volunteers!
