On 9 August 2008, while most Singaporeans were enjoying their public holiday on National Day, 800 enthusiastic volunteers chose to celebrate their national day in a meaningful way by participating in HOPE worldwide (Singapore)'s Flag Day fundraiser to raise funds for its programmes. With thanks to the dedicated volunteers, which included 300 families with their children, HOPE worldwide (Singapore) raised over $97K!
