On 8th December 2009, adidas Singapore Pte Ltd held its annual Run for Love Fundraiser cum Festive, Fun & Family Carnival for its staff and family members and the 60+ HOPE worldwide Singapore’s HOPE for Youth children beneficiaries along with their families at Victoria Junior College. It was an honour to have Ms Lee Phui Fong, Country Manager, adidas Singapore Pte Ltd, and Mr Jing Tan, Managing Director, TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company (TMAG) AREA South East Asia, amongst our distinguished guests.

As the event kicked off with the 4km Run for Love, it was heartwarming to see 60 adidas staff & family members along with over 20 enthusiastic youths run/walk a total of 600 laps around the Victoria JC track, in spite of the intense afternoon sun and intermittent rain showers. After the exhausting exercise, all the children and adults found the cotton floss and ice-cream break so refreshing!

The event continued with a mass dance, fun tele-matches, and the breaking open of 2 colorful festive piñatas filled with many sweets. Ms Lee Phui Fong, Country Manager, adidas Singapore Pte Ltd, then proceeded to generously donate $3000 ($5 per lap) for the HOPE worldwide Singapore’s HOPE for Youth programmes. In addition, each of the adidas staff presented the children with goodie bags filled with party favors, adidas water bottle and wallet, and over 280 individually bought Christmas gifts for all the children in the homes. Finally, a delicious tea-break was enjoyed by all the adidas staff and children. Truly, this was a memorable day for the children!

You make a difference to the lives of 60 disadvantaged children during this festive season!
